Why Arulmozhi Vermar is named as Ponniyin Selvan?
Arulmozhi Vermar is named as Ponniyin selvan after this incident. The king and all his three children was travelling in the boat in Ponni river. Arul Mozhi was kid, and he fell from the boat. Suddenly there was a woman who rescued the kid and vanished. So people believed Ponni river goddess came and rescued the kid. From that day he was called as Ponniyin selvan also known as Ponni’s Son. Later int he story the author revelers who rescued Arulmozhi from that accident.
