How to bake Sugar Biscuits in an easy method

Sugar biscuits are one of the must do if you are interested in baking. Here is my recipe for the sugar biscuits.

Dry Ingredients:

1Maida/Wheat115 gms.
2Powdered Sugar50 gms.
3Salt1gm

Wet Ingredients:

4Butter (Room temp)65 gms.
5Milk6 gms.
6Vanilla essence2.5 gms.

Step 1: Add all dry ingredients together (Madia + Sugar + Salt)

Step 2: Now add room temp butter to the dry ingredients 

Step 3: Take the prepared flour in both your hands and slowly rub the hands together. It has to come like a puttu maavu consistency. In baking terminology, it has to be breadcrumbs consistency, which is achieved through aeration method.  

Step 4: In this breadcrumb consistency, add Milk + Vanilla essence and softly make a dough

Step 5: Now roll it with a pin to make it 2 mm thick

Step 6: Use a cookie cutter to make your desired shape

Step 7: Place the wet biscuit on a butter paper and put in oven for 15 mins in 180 degree celsius (Always preheat it for 5 to 10 mins)

Step 8: If the biscuits will turn golden brown after 10 mins, you can remove it for soft biscuits. If you want it to be a little more crisp, allow it to bake all 15 mins.

Step 9: Allow it to cool down completely and enjoy the biscuits.
