What should I do now! I am confused! All this social media makes me sick. I have spent almost all this week but I could not find Anusha. Anusha is my childhood friend and my classmate. We studied together till 7th grade. I still could not forget her moon like graceful face. We grew up together, unfortunately she had to relocate as her father got transferred to Mumbai. They moved to Mumbai. It all ran in to my mind in black and white mode.
Ok, one more try “Anusha Mumbai”, 568 results found, Oh! God! How do I find her? I closed my laptop and went to bed. The ceiling was my LCD theater. I ran my mind visuals like a movie and saw everything about her and the time we spent together in HD. I did not realize when I slept.
It was a perfect day! After one week break attending my cousin’s marriage in Hyderabad I am back to work. Long journey yeah, but my Android phone kept me going. Travelling with family is another big deal. You can’t be yourself. Every time I have to make the fake smile to aunties and uncles. But thanks to my smart phone. it has many aspects to keep me engaged. Throughout my travel course I twitted, re-twitted, shared my location status, liked, commented and +1-ed posts. Tried every option to locate Anusha. But no luck.
Work place is even cooler for me because I am web developer so I stay online all the time. My endless search started again. Cling! A mail popped up. A comment has be posted to your article. Another Spam! I exhaled and opened that mail. I write a lot and post it on my blog. People send their real comments and bots send their spam comments. I deal with both. I checked the comments. It said “True!” from “anuishere11” on “What is Trust?”.
I have an odd feeling about this. My hunch said it could be Anusha. My lizard brain worked. I rolled my sleeves and started to track back this user. I opened my article and saw the comments and approved it. Once I approve a comment from a user all the future comments will be automatically approved. I got flurry of comments from “anuishere11” I was left with no choice but to find this person.
For sure I Know this user is a female. I dropped an email personally and asked few questions! Bang on I got a reply. Are you Roshan from Coonor? No doubt! She is Anusha! I replied yes! Shall we chat? My chat program jumped! I never felt so high in my whole life. I was very much excited!
Roshan: Hi!
Anusha: Man! I never dreamt I will find you again!
Roshan: Me too! Are you in Mumbai?
Anusha: No, we are in Shimla!
Damm! What a fool am I? All these days I did a wrong location search. How in this world I would know she is in Shimla. We continued our chat. We started from college to work. She is a doctor now. Brainy! As always. We are now friends in almost all social media. And in all possible mobile Apps from Whatsapp to Wechat.
Life was extraordinary! Until I got that IM in whatsapp. I am getting engaged do you want to come to Shimla. What! Are you getting engaged! Yes next month, Wedding is after couple of months. My heart applied a break to my thoughts like MRF radial break ad. I almost smelled the burning smell.
I was in my own imaginary world. I now realized that is all gone! I have to reset my mind. I never said I love her. But my heart said that! It was my difficult time. I did not go to her engagement and wedding. After 4 months, I see photos of Anusha couple all over social media. What should I do now! I am confused! All this social media making me sick.
An email popped “A comment has be posted to your article” this time it said “preeti_onlie89”. Ok I am back in action! Rolled my sleeves and started to search “preeti_onlie89”.
Is it ur old love story?
Today I found the answer for my long time unanswered question ‘ what these guys do in office during working hours?’
Hi Elda,
Thanks for your time to read the story. To answer your question. No, all my stories are purely fictitious. And I do not write in my work hours. I do it in my weekends and re-read, re-write and finally present it for you guys.
This story is very interesting one. Very exciting one as usual.
