Snoozed Love

There were 5 missed calls from Reshma in Melvin’s Phone. He was supposed to pick her up from the Airport. Reshma is coming to Chennai for the first time.  Her flight landed by 5.30 AM. Melvin burnt the midnight oil to complete his annual report. He was so tired and slept. His alarm ringed at 5 AM. He snoozed the alarm by habit. Now it is 7.30 AM. He realized that he has to pick up Reshma.

1 Year Before:

The queue was very long to check in for Delhi flights. Indigo airline is well known for its punctuality. Melvin was a software trainer and he travels all around India to conduct training sessions. Melvin was standing at the last and he was very calm and composite. He is a guy who doesn’t speak much. Reshma stood before Melvin. She was continuously seeing her watch, the information kiosk and she was restless.

Today:

Melvin put on his cloths and rushed towards Airport. He called Reshma repeatedly but it was switched off. He panicked but he did not show that off. He raised the bike throttle and it reached 100Km/HR in no seconds. In the next signal he was caught by cops for over speeding.  He forgot all his papers and top of that he did not wear his helmet.

1 Year Before:

Melvin got the window seat and he sat in his seat. Reshma came looking for her seat number and she got the aisle seat which is next to Melvin’s seat. She asked Melvin for a swap and he realized that this is her first flight. When a beautiful girl like Reshma asks who will say no. He gave his seat. Reshma was so happy and she started to explore everything in the flight.

Today:

Sir, I just have 500 RS. Please sir! I have to go to airport someone is waiting for me. He pleaded to the police officer and finally managed to get out of him. It is already 8.30 AM. By 9.00 AM he reached Airport and he could not find her. She went to the Coffee lounge no sign of Reshma. He ran all around the place like a lunatic. He enquired everyone but no one’s answer was promising.

1 Year Before:

Thanks for choosing emergency exit as your seat! Said the airhosts to Reshma. She went on explaining many instructions to her. Melvin was smiling and she noticed his smile. When the flight took off, Reshma threw up due to her flight sickness. Melvin’s pant and shirt was completely messy and he could not do anything about that. Reshma become unconscious and she looked very pale. Melvin managed to clean up his shirt, pants and as well Reshma. She was sleeping all the way from Kolkata to Delhi on Melvin’s shoulder.

Today:

Melvin was standing in the middle of the airport everyone was busy doing their work. He was confused and he kept his hands on his head and he realized he missed her. And his life is screwed big time.  A man crossed him was talking over his phone “Airport has a good hospital facility”. What Hospital facility. Then he realized about her flight sickness and asked him about the hospital and ran towards it.

1 Year Before:

Hello! Is someone is coming to pick you up asked Melvin. Reshma nodded her head, yes my dad is coming. The landing part made her sicker and Melvin did not want her to leave as such. He helped her out with her luggage and finally met his father. He father thanked him very much and insisted to come to their house. He accepted it halfhearted and reached her house.  Every one took care of him very much and some kids took photos with him. He returned to his hotel and realized her phone is with him. His love started from there. It is almost a year they are in love.

Today:

As soon as he entered the hospital he checked in reception and found Reshma was admitted there. He took a deep breath and he got a big relief. His happiness did not long last as he saw someone had signed for her. He reached the ward area and found some handsome guy is standing. Reshma said “I did that once again!” thank god Karthick was there. Hi! Karthick thanks for your help. Melvin thought for a second and asked for her phone. Oh! Yes, he just checked his pocket and gave her phone. Melvin was much more relieved. Missing the phone and giving back the phone drama ignited Love in between Melvin and Reshma. He did not want that to happen between Karthick and Reshma. Melvin said thanks for everything and asked him to leave.

From that day he realized if you forget your duties even there is good chance you will miss your LOVE.

Never go late to your bed. And make sure you wake up in right time.
